This week in Cybersmart we're  learning about Upstanders and we had to make a animation of what a Upstander does , a Upstander is some one who protect  people from being bullied, Heres My animation on a Upstander. I have really enjoined this activity because I like to make animations.

Organic v GM who will win?

This week in literacy we have been learning about Organic crops and GM (Genetically Modified) crops our task was to research a  good and bad things about Organic crop and GM crops. after we had done that we had to make a padlet. If you thought GM was the best then you would take all of the good thing from GM and put that on a padlet then put all of the bad thing from Organic on your padlet. Heres a silde on my padlet and my research.

Experiment Time

This week in literacy we have been learning about Enzymes. Our task for the week  was to put 3 different liquid in different container's. Then put a apple cut in to 1/4   a slice of apple in each container with one left over this is to see witch one will speed up the Enzymes and slow it down. Some of the liquid's would speed up the Enzymes witch would make the apple go brown. I haven't took a one week photo because it's only been 1 day. I'm very happy we did this I really enjoyed this . Here's a slide show on my progress.

Olympics fun

This week in literacy we had  to choose a person from the Tokyo Olympics  and make a poster on them. The Poster had to have what Sport they do and there height and weight etc. I did mine on Hayden Wilde. The teachers put us in to groups of 2 but I was in a group of 3. Here's a slide show of my work. 

I am very Proud of my group and myself to finish.

6 weeks in literacy...

 Kia ora Bloggers in literacy from week 1 we started to do a slideshow called 'The Arts' we had Monday to Thursday to complete it. 5-10 minutes before we go to play we mark it. We learnt about types of music, artist, Sculpture, and more.

Super cool epro8

On Thursday Henry, Delilah, Rosie and I did Epro8. It was super fun, you had to build a famous landmark and put 3 party poppers on it to represent fireworks. We had to fire them with all of the team members 2 meters away. We videoed it and then we will send it to epro8 to see if we qualify.  

I'm having trouble getting the video so I will try to post it later. 

super fun Cross country

 Kia ora bloggers on Thursday we did cross country, we needed to wear our house colours  I was in red and i came 4th in year 5 boys. there was about 30 people in year 5 boys. Source Mrs kerin.

It was great fun and i'm proud of myself to get 4th! here's a slide show of our cross country.

Super cool ANZAC day slideshow!!!!

In literacy we had to make a slideshow on ANZAC day, the teachers made a activity for us we had to do 5 activities. My favourite activity was the Lego science task.

I quite enjoyed this task because I liked learning about the war and what happened during the war.  Now I know what ANZAC stands for. We read lots of articles and watched a video to help our learning. Do you know what ANZAC means?  What do you know about World War One?

This slide was made my myself and my friend Henry.

Titanic

 Kia ora  in writing  we did a historical event and we had to find info from lots of web sites and compare them all and which ever info was showed the most is what you would put on to your sheet. 

I learnt that  Titanic had 2,240 people on board when it sunk and that it is 269 long  28.2 wide and weighed more than 52,000 tons!
